SEO: Designing a Search Engine Friendly Webpage

SEO Search engine optimization or organic search rankings is basically based upon the three legged principle and the three legs of that stool are keyword rich relevant content, meta tagging, and Site popularity or third party linking.  In order to get good organic search engine rankings you need to be able to understand or incorporate each of these three principles into the site structure or development of your site.

You want the content of your website to be keyword rich and relevant which means it needs to be well written nothing spells disaster more for algorithms than misspelled words, poor grammar, and poor syntax.  The search algorithm is not going to give it any credibility with those errors and therefore if your page is garbage the algorithm is going to know it and it’s not going to make its index of the website.

Think about your content as if you are writing a brochure and it is important to keep the content between 250 to 500 words.  This will allow you to have more pages which gives your website more touch points to the public therefore increasing the popularity of your website will help to drive sales for your company.  Keep your keyword density to around 5% in your content, which is optimal for a better ranking and the best search engine optimization.
